We use that word
too much, you and I,
when really it should be
used as sparingly as
strong spices.
But I don't deny
that my heart races
like
I've just ingested too much caffeine
or some strong spices
when your name appears
online.
I don't deny
you are my drug of choice.
Your words
are the high I keep on
chasing.
